M. Daedalus - POETRY / POESIA

prodigy of pain

You materialise an invitation to pain.
Having long ago graduated in sin,
Effortlessly you have a soul slain,
Making everybody’s feelings spin,
Eyes closed to those enduring the rain.

Those lips never uttered an apology.
The tears in your eyes were self-indulgent.
Heroine of a scatological mythology,
Your promises are always transient.
Still you perceive yourself as a prodigy,
As you frustrate the most intelligent,
You deprive their existences of energy.
