fragile heart

For years I carried a stalwart heart,
Giving love, still invulnerable to it,
The mightiest storm would not move it,
But it could not resist your subtle spell.

History was reborn in a new universe,
With an horizon illuminated by lust,
No longer on an avenue under construction,
You became my nation, my culture, my people.

Each glimpse of you is a shot of adrenaline,
So, now I live with a fragile heart,
As precarious as an autumn leaf,
Entangled in a perpetual blizzard.

Yet, capable of flying to any country,
To abolish any fear of happiness,
For the sake of sharing life with you,
Above the blue elysian fields.
